Compassion Advocacy Network through its partnership with Blocker Norfolk Family YMCA, Greenbrier North YMCA Wellness & Racquetball Center and Portsmouth Effingham YMCA, were able to deliver Christmas gifts to residents of Sentara Portsmouth Nursing Center and Sentara Chesapeake Nursing Center. The out-pouring of support generated through Angel Trees at these YMCA of South Hampton Roads locations also made it possible for Neighborhood Outreach Works (NOW) to deliver Christmas gifts to 72 kids and for six families to receive Christmas dinner. Our thanks to all who gave.

CAN & NAC converge for WAVY TV-10's Coats for Kids

Compassion Advocacy Network is pleased to announce that it will help Hampton Roads' children stay warm this winter by participating in the upcoming WAVY-TV 10's Coats for Kids. CAN volunteers will distribute coats Dec 3rd, Jan. 7th, and Feb. 4th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Norfolk Apostolic Church Family Life Center gym, located at 3172 Azalea Garden Road, Norfolk, VA. Gently used coats can be donated and dropped off at Albano Cleaners, Boulevard Cleaners, Langley Federal Credit Union locations or any Priority Automotive location.
Distribution: **Only one coat per person. Children must be present with their parents to collect the coat on distribution dates for sizing purposes.**
